Calico Skies Vineyard and Winery was established in April 2010. The sprawling 5 acre vineyard was planted May 2010, with building construction beginning in June 2010, followed by a grand opening on May 21st, 2011. Silhouetting Northwest Iowa sunsets, the winery over looks hills near the Big Sioux River. These breathtaking views and unending skies grant a perfect backdrop to celebrate life and the profound and simple moments that make it.

They offer 5 free 1 oz samples of their wines during regular business hours. The menu has a great selection of fresh fruity whites to dry oak aged reds all produced and bottled in their winery with cold hardy grapes.
